Actor-writer Ethan Hawke directs this acclaimed biopic about Southern musician Blaze Foley (Ben Dickey), a gifted singer-songwriter and mean drinker who often got in his own way. The film is told through the eyes of onetime wife Sybil (Alia Shawkat), whom he met and lived with in Georgia. “You leave the theater feeling like you’ve struck it rich.” – New York Times
Following the 2 p.m. screening, the real Sybil Rosen, who wrote the screenplay with Hawke and appears in the film, will speak about Foley and her experience making the movie.
